Wedding Supper

Before moving to Slovakia with her family two and half years ago, Haley, our new daughter-in-law, grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado.

How special to have dear friends of their family, just a few houses down from her childhood home, host her wedding supper! A very special thank you to the Green family, and other dear friends, who blessed us all with this beautiful event to complete Caleb and Haley's wedding day.

Their backyard was a Pinterest delight specially prepared for the bride and groom!

With hundreds of details to admire, we all soaked in the beautiful setting so lovingly prepared while we waited for Caleb, Haley and their wedding party to arrive.

As we waited, the sky that had been perfectly beautiful all day, suddenly clouded over. Before we knew it, raindrops were falling into the magical garden setting, threatening to turn into a Colorado thunderstorm which we knew had been predicted.

Umbrellas came out as we mingled, and I'm sure more than a few of us were praying that those dark clouds would pass.

Literally minutes later, just as Caleb and Haley arrived, this appeared in the sky above the backyard setting.

We all stood marveling at the glorious rainbow that filled the sky, delighted by God's presence so evident on their wedding day!

Rain would not have bothered Haley at all as it's her favorite weather. So it was so kind of the Lord to bring just enough for her, and then to part the clouds and send a rainbow over them.

Once the rain passed, the evening continued on with a beautiful supper prepared by the Chase's friends, and then lots of happy conversation.

And of course a few more pictures! :)

Eventually though, it was time for the happy couple to say their goodbyes. Could there be anything sweeter than this?

After many hugs and kisses, they pulled out of the driveway.

But they didn't leave until Claire made a quick run back into the house for wedding cake for them to take on their honeymoon!

Finally, Caleb and Haley happily drove off to begin their married life together.

Such sweet contentment filled my heart as I watched them leave. They are each God's perfect provision for the other, and my heart overflowed with thankfulness to know that He has done such a good thing in bringing them together.

With much delight, confidence and trust, we stood together as their parents, blessing them into their future as Caleb and Haley Patty.
