Sacred Ground

For nearly a year I've been waiting to return to this place.

If you're a regular blog reader you might remember last year in April when Dave and I were driving in Austria and my car suddenly died.

What you don't know is that the night before, in God's awesomeness, he had led Dave and I to a hotel that was unlike anything else I've ever seen. And where I knew we should hold our JV second culture ladies retreat...a year from then!

So now, here we are...a year later. And I am beyond myself with excitement and joy over this sacred ground that he has prepared for us.

The ladies arrive tomorrow afternoon...56 of them! We'll be here until Friday, tucked away with each other and with the Lord. Singing, laughing, walking, talking and...praying. That's the theme of this retreat. Not talking about it, or even learning about it...just doing it. Praying. A LOT.

I don't know if I'll get to update my blog at all over these next days. But if you're reading this between now and Friday, you can pray...that we will be quick to get into God's presence, that we'll know how and what to pray, and that some mountains will move, some walls will fall, and some lives will change as a result of this time together.

Thanks for covering us.
