Lovely Lunch

Summer has finally arrived here in our part of the world! It was around 95F (35 C) today, with a hot breeze most of the day. Where to go on such a day?

Up to our local golf course!

Yes, it would probably make more sense to have found a pool. But honestly, the veranda of the restaurant up there was pretty much perfect today as the breeze blew.

But the best part was the company!

Lucy Rose Till Campbell...you've seen her here on my blog before! She's one of my "adopted" nieces, a missionary kid who grew up here in Frydlant, and is beautifully adult and married now, living in the States.

But she was here for her brother's wedding this past week-end, so before she left, I wanted to get time with her, which we did over lunch today.

A meaningful part of missionary life has been being family with others who are here doing the same thing: sharing their lives and the Gospel. It's been, and continues to be, a joy to be part of the missionary "village", raising kids together with others who are also "on mission". The children of my friends are now becoming friends of mine which is pretty much awesome!

"Loved being with you today Lucy Rose! I'm so proud of the woman you have become, and love still being part of your life, even if it's in snippets like sharing a lovely lunch together on a veranda in the Beskydy's!"
