Becca's Investment

If you've been reading my blog for a few years, you know who this dear friend is.

It's been thirteen years since we met Becca, then a student at Multnomah who came out on a spring break trip that ended up weaving our lives together in a unique and lasting way.

She served with us in JV for seven years as our coordinator for JV Kids, making a huge investment and impact in their lives.  As an MK herself, she had an incredible perspective on what it is for a child to grow up on the mission field, and brought such love, skill and understanding to not only our kids, but all of us who were raising MK's.

I can't believe it's been almost five years since she left Czech and moved to Portland, where she now lives with her sister, Michelle, while she studies, works, and serves MK's all over the world through Barnabas International. Oh how we miss her!!

I love this picture of Becca as it captures her so well! Adorable purple fuzzy slippers paired with a classy outfit - must note that she did wear classy boots when we went out later on! :)
I am deeply thankful for Becca and all she invested in our JVK (Josiah Venture kids) during her years with us.

But of course I'm especially thankful for what she invested in our own kids. She taught them so many things during significant years of their lives, imparting lots of wisdom and depth, laughter and fun along the way. They are marked by her in ways that I still love and appreciate today!

"Thank you Becca for years of investment, and for ongoing friendship today!"
