Home for the Day

It may not seem significant that I post this picture of our cute doggie.

But the reason I do is that I was not supposed to see Kaylee during these few days home in between vacation and an upcoming trip.

We didn't take her on vacation this year, but rather left her with our trusted friend. And we didn't pick her up when we got home because we're leaving tomorrow for the States.

However, when coming back from errands yesterday, I happened to be driving by our vet when all of the sudden the Lord reminded me that I'd made an appointment for her as a follow up to a vaccination, forgetting that I wouldn't have her at home right now!

I quickly contacted our friend and made arrangements to pick her up for a few hours, bringing her home today until it was time to go to the vet.

It was nice to have my little buddy unexpectedly keeping me company for a few hours!

The Lord knew what he was doing when he gave us this particular dog six years ago. She's happy to see me when I come pick her up after trips, and she's happy to see our friend when I drop her off. There is never any adjustment period between our two houses, and she seems to be completely satisfied at either place.

Given how much we travel these days, it helps immensely to have such a dog!

When Tyler, Lara, Judah and Asher arrive to make their home and live in nearby Ostrava, Kaylee will be moving to their house to be their dog. I am thrilled that they want her as it would be painful for me, (a total softy when it comes to my dog) to send her elsewhere. However, with all our traveling these days we thought it would be best for her to be in a home that's constant. They are going to love her, especially those two little boys!

But for now, she's the ultimate flexible dog and really doesn't seem to mind that I come and go.
