Dave's been in his office all day, working on JV fall conference preparation ... studying, writing, praying, thinking, on the phone, on his computer, asking me questions. That's a "normal" day for him.
But today is not just any day. It's Dave's 55th birthday!
There is truly no one else I'd rather go through life with than this man.
Whether it's in a car traveling somewhere, being at a conference listening to him speak, all our years of raising kids together, spending time with friends we love, investing in people we care about, praying over a million things, working on a project of some sort, or out on a boat, he is SO MUCH FUN to live life with.
Life is never boring with Dave ... ever!
From the time we've been married up until now, we have been on the grandest adventure of life together. Dave has a unique ability to see life as God sees it: "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10
It doesn't matter where we are or what we're doing, Dave is always on the lookout for God's abundant way of life, and how we can get on board with what He's doing.
It's a crazy, wonderful, exciting and truly meaningful way to live ... and I love that I get to live it with Dave.
So on this day, where Dave is working hard to get on board with God's agenda for our fall conference, I celebrate this amazing man of faith, who shares his gifts, talents, time and energy with so many.
It's a privilege to do life with him, and I absolutely adore who he is and the life I get to lead with him.
