Noticing Light

Wandering out into the yard this afternoon, I took a stretching break from sitting at my computer editing all day.

And what a cool sight awaited me!

It was almost as if the colors were enhanced for just a few moments before the sun set. I was completely captivated by how pretty the light was so quickly ran inside to grab my camera.

It lasted for about five minutes, but long enough for me to click off some pictures in hopes of capturing it.

The blues were so blue, the greens so green, and the oranges SO orange! Something about the colors and the light just made me want to stand there and revel in it until it was gone.

Just so you know, I did not pose her! She laid down there just as I started clicking the camera!

The crazy thing is that just this morning I read Ephesians 5:8-9

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of the light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.

I wrote a note to myself saying, "Be captivated by light."

And then this happened in the afternoon! I love when Truth intersects daily life.

I want my life to point to the Lord and be such colorful light as this.
