Sunday Afternoon Drive

When I was growing up, my family loved to take drives. It didn't matter where we went, or if we even stopped to do anything along the way, we just drove.

Somehow my parents instilled in us a love for just the drive.

After church today, Dave and I followed that tradition and took a Sunday drive here in Wyoming.

Oh my, OH MY!! What a feast for the eyes!!!! You can't just drive by that kind of beauty and not stop for pictures, that's for sure!

The awesomeness of the beauty absolutely made my heart turn to the Lord:

For the Lord is a great God,
the great King above all gods,
In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
Psalm 95:3-4

Stunning! Amazing! Awesome! Fantastic! Breathtaking! Gorgeous! Unbelievable!!

I was running out of superlatives to describe what my eyes were seeing as we drove.

I didn't do one thing to edit this picture. This is truly what it looked like today as we drove.

Magnificent, isn't it?!

We stood and gazed at the beauty as long as we could. And still we couldn't comprehend or take it all in. It was almost too much for the soul to receive!

I hope there will be "Sunday Drives" in heaven where we'll get to gaze on these kinds of sights that God created - it will be nice to look at them and soak them in for unlimited amounts of time.

I'll never get tired of His majestic creation.
