This week at Malenovice, our 90 JV summer interns are in the midst of training for the ministry they'll be doing throughout Central and Eastern Europe in the coming months.
We've been up there the past few nights for the evening program and let me tell you...this is such a quality group of young people who are giving their summer to be a part of God's movement in this part of the world!
Last night was a recap of the "Amazing Race" that they all did across Ukraine and Poland last week.
They had a lot of tasks to complete along the way...eating crazy food, zip-lining across the longest zipline over a river in the world (see HERE for someone's video...not from our interns...but that gives you an idea of what that was like!), buying food in a local Ukrainian market...all the while trying to be the first ones to arrive at the finish line!
Hey, there's a familiar face of one of the summer intern leaders! :) What a treat it's been to have Tyler (and Lara!) here in our part of the world!
One of the interns who is from Latvia, Ieva, shared her testimony last night - a beautiful story of God's redemption of her whole family. You might enjoy reading a few of her blog posts in English HERE. Be sure to read her April 13th post - it's gripping.
Dave's brother, Josh, (who leads our JV team in Slovenia) is speaking to the interns this week, giving them good tools for how to walk with God this summer as they serve.
Evening program ended with the camp song and dance - a tradition that's been going on at English camp for years! This year's song is Toby Mac's, "Me Without You". So catchy and fun! Kids are going to be singing it long after camp ends!
The interns finish their training tomorrow morning and begin the journey of spreading out across Central and Eastern Europe to bring the Gospel to young people over the next two months.
PRAY for a fruitful summer of ministry - we long to see many come to know Jesus, and for revival throughout this land!!
