Northwest Girl

This morning I said goodbye to Michelle after our little slice of life together in Portland yesterday.

How this godly, fun, deep, extravagant, generous, bold, faith-filled, world-changing woman blesses me. Our visits may be few and far between, but they are always life giving when they happen!

On my drive across Portland to pick up Dave at the airport, I remembered that I'd left my keys at her house so after dropping him off downtown for a meeting, off I went back to Tigard to get in one last moment with her!

Truth be told, she was in the middle of a counseling session by phone (she has a private practice). But she still opened the door for me so I could run in and find my keys!

With a few minutes to spare before picking up Dave, I stopped by Fred Meyer because...it's not a trip to the Northwest without a stop at Freddies!

You can take the girl out of the Northwest, but you can't take the Northwest out of the girl!

I loved running in with my hood up because it was raining. You know ... true Oregonians don't use umbrellas! ðŸ¤£

  1. This post is so funny as I see the picture of me on my phone at the end of a counseling session! I was so happy to see your face one last time...and then the rest of the story is that I asked you to pray for my next client as she has the privilege of finally meeting you (since most of my clients know about you if they've been seeing me for any length of time). So we both got to bless each other while being in real life together. Such a special trip all the way around!!!! :o)
