Bistro Kod Damira

After being out and about in the bura today, Joyce and I headed over to Stari Grad to warm up.

Much quieter today than it was last week when we were here, we headed to the one restaurant that stays open year round here, Bistro Kod Damira.

And it's a good one! I always feel like I've stopped by my Croatian aunt's house for lunch when I'm here.

The food tastes fresh and real, is hot and fast, the locals eat here, and "my aunt" never seems to mind if we hang out afterward for a while. ๐Ÿ˜‰

"One cappuccino with lavender, coming right up!"

But here's the other thing about visiting...there's a painting here that I love.

It's hard to see the colors well enough in either of these photos, but I think a version of it at my house in Czech would look beautiful!

"Dave...our anniversary is coming up soon...." ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚

I found out that the artist might be here in Stari Grad the next time I'm here, so they told me to stop by and meet him. Hopefully this story will be continued!

In the late afternoon sun, we wandered back to the car, feeling drenched in the Lord's love and kindness to give us another wonderful day here together.

And...He gave me a little doggie love too, as this cutie was parked next to us.

I would have loved to open the door and meet him (he looks so sweet that I probably could have gotten a doggie hug!), but I refrained and just satisfied myself with an eye to eye connection.

Dogs always bring a sweetness to my day! ❤️
