Travel Day

Dave and I said goodbye this morning for a few days, and I set off on a drive through cloudy Austria.

Eight hours later and I'd made it to Split, Croatia!

While I do have on my winter coat, it's not nearly as cold here as what I left in Vienna! There's definitely a chill in the air, but it feels nice to be in sea air again.

Dave will join me in a few days, but for now I'm headed across to Hvar this evening.

The difference in crossing in the summer and winter is pretty crazy; tonight there are only a few cars on the ferry, and I'm right at the front with no one in front of me.

That only happens at this time of year!

I'm the car on the right. There were just three other cars behind these four!

After fifteen hours of travel (the drive, the wait, the ferry, the drive), I made it to my destination.

For the past few years, Dave and I have been coming down to Hvar in December for two weeks of study and preparation for upcoming events. In addition to that, this year Dave will be writing two new Bible studies for our team to use in discipling new believers.

Trusting God for a fruitful and rejuvenating time here over the next two weeks.
