Santa Nonnie

Since Dave and I just arrived back from our study break in Croatia, I haven't had time to do any grocery shopping until today, Christmas Eve. I went into Ostrava to the big mall, thinking that I'd have more chance of finding what I needed at the bigger grocery store there.

I was wrong.

In all my 26 years of living here in Czech, this is the first time I've ever seen the fruit department completely wiped out! The meat and dairy section looked like that too.

Thankfully I was able to find enough food that will tide us over during the next 60 hours that all stores will be closed across the country! It is a national law that stores must close at noon on Dec 24, and can't open back up until the morning of December 27 at normal hours.

Since we're waiting until December  29th when Caleb, Haley and Charlie will join us for a Christmas celebration with family, I knew I wouldn't be seeing Tyler, Lara and family until then.

Unless I stopped by as Santa Nonnie on this Christmas Eve!

It was fun to surprise the little boys with a few early gifts to say "Merry Christmas" and "I love you!"

While I'd been at the grocery store, I found two extra gifts that I knew the boys would enjoy. After all, who doesn't love Olaf from the movie, "Frozen"?!

He was such a hit they could hardly stand still for a picture!

I did manage to get a photo of the family, including two Olaf's, before saying goodbye on this Christmas Eve morning.

Oh, and in case you couldn't make out what was on Tyler's sweater in the picture above, here it is in full! ðŸ¤£ ðŸ¤£ ðŸ¤£

Nothing says Christmas like a Star Wars sweater!!

In all seriousness...we DO know what says Christmas like nothing else...JESUS!!
