My Praying Friend

This dear friend and JV teammate came to spend time with me today.

Geri, and her husband Dave, serve in Olomouc, a city that's about an hour and a half away.

I am so very thankful for Geri...for her heart for the Lord, for her intimate walk with him, for the way she loves people, for her caring friendship and for her invaluable partnership in working on the Prayer Room together. She's been such a integral part of this project, and I couldn't do it without her!

She and her husband are leaving for a summer home assignment in the States, so she came to walk and pray with me today before we're apart until the fall.

The Lord sure turned on the beauty of his creation for us to soak in today as we walked.

It was just one magnificent vista after another!

We shared prayer requests with each other, and then prayed as we walked.

I wish I could do this every day.

In the evening we grabbed some dinner in Ostrava and then it was time to put her on the train and say goodbye for now.

"I'll miss you Geri! Thankfully there is email and FaceTime if we need each other over the next few months! THANK YOU for all you give to the Prayer Room through your writing, your prayers, your thoughts on how to improve it, and your confidence in the promise of God that he hears us when we pray! Praying for God's supernatural provision for you while you're in the States. See you in the fall!"
