An Easter to Remember

This has been an Easter that we all will remember for many years!

The last time that we celebrated Easter at home with our family all together was in 2009, before Tyler left for college.

I never imagined that we would ever spend it together 11 years later, locked down by a virus quarantine.

But what an incredibly special day it was, remembering together, Christ and his sacrifice on the cross, and resurrection, that made Him the victor over sin and death!

How I loved celebrating God's mercy with our children and their children.

My heart nearly burst with joy, watching Dave, for the first time with our grandsons, share the Easter story.

We had a beautiful time of singing outside in the warm sunshine that God blessed us with today, and then let the boys loose on their first Easter egg hunt!

Throughout the long, warm afternoon, we had sweet moment after sweet moment.

And I felt such love in my heart for our God, who came in flesh, lived a perfect life and because of that could die for our sins, and come back to life as the conquerer of sin and death - which then opened the way for a relationship with Him.

It makes days like this possible, where we not only have precious relationships with each other, but we have them with God and because of our God.

In the midst of this worldwide pandemic, we celebrated Jesus as the perfect antidote to the "virus" of sin.  His sacrifice has never meant more to me than it does right now.
