Noticing Nativities

In the courtyard of where we stayed last night in Split was this beautiful nativity scene.

When I used the Bible Lens app on the photo, it brought this verse up to fit the scene...I loved it!

What an absolutely remarkable time of year this is...celebrating our Savior who came as a baby:

To fulfill prophecy.

To provide a way for us to be reconciled to him.

To make a way for the forgiveness of our sins.

To bless us with abundant life now and forever.

And to express His infinite and inexplicable love for His people, for me and for you. Oh I love this time of year so much, remembering these truths!

A walk through Split right now is full of more of these scenes than you would imagine. It's so heart warming to me. And yet I hope that people don't pass by without stopping to think for a moment about the real meaning of Christmas.

I didn't take pictures of all of the nativities, but sure enjoyed every one that I saw!

Five days and counting to celebrating our Jesus on Christmas Day!
