Being the wife of one of those elders, I have a deep appreciation for the time they spend in care, shepherding, prayer and meetings on behalf of the members of our church. They take their role of service seriously, and deeply care about seeing our church family grow.
Today that church family held elections for the next four years of elders who will serve. We cast our votes and ballots were counted, then the results were announced.
After each of them shared their heart and vision for the church, our pastor, Jirka, commissioned them and prayed for God's blessing over them for accepting this responsibility.
I am so thankful for this body of Christ here in Frydlant, and for the ways it is bearing fruit in bringing the Gospel to our town.
