Why? Because today is Asher's two year old birthday!!! π♀️ π♀️ π♀️ π♀️ π♀️
Tyler and Lara invited some of the boys' friends and their parents to come celebrate his birthday here today, and of course I wouldn't miss it for anything!
Asher was so delighted this morning, knowing it was his birthday, and seeing people arrive to be with him at one of his favorite places!

Tyler heard that the red panda was going to be fed at 9:30 (which means we'd be likely to see him!) so we headed over there.
Sure enough, this cute little fellow came out when the zoo keeper brought his food - some bamboo shoots!
I've been coming to this zoo since Tyler and Caleb were just one and three years old - we didn't even have Claire when we came for the first time! How fun to see her here with her nephews, and their friend, another JV Kid!
Watching Asher throughout the morning, he literally seemed to have grown up today!

Already hot this early in the day, Tyler and Lara found shade for us to sit down and enjoy cake and presents.
His friends brought such sweet gifts for him, and he seemed to take it all in and enjoy being celebrated.
Over the years the zoo has put in all kinds of truly amazing play equipment, so not only are the animals there to enjoy, but the playgrounds as well!
At the elephants, I saw these three from behind and couldn't help but take that sweet photo of Asher with his mommy and daddy - his favorite people in the world!
What a special day, being with a special little guy!
Claire and I had to say goodbye at lunchtime as I head to Krakow tonight to catch a plane tomorrow morning to the States. But I am SO glad I could be here for Asher's birthday, celebrating with him and his dear family!
